Taking in pride in where you’re from is all good - but yeah, at the end of the day, we’re all part of one race, and your nationality’s just an accident of birth.
I try to say something cute, but it comes out like
Or I’ll blurt shit out without thinking about it
Or say something that comes off too strong
And he’ll just look at me like

Far out, I want to see these chaps again. This guitarist in particular is fucking talented.
I’m so blessed to have known sadness. I’m so blessed to have been underestimated from the start. I’m so blessed to have been misunderstood and overlooked, even to this day, by the ones I respect the most.
I’m thankful that my life hasn’t been easy; it keeps me in touch with reality.
Feel like I’ve gotten to that point where I’m standing here and going, “Do I really need this?”
Maybe I’m just a lazy person, but I sometimes look at the effort/result ratio and assure myself that I’m not losing out by ceasing my efforts.
Just because you don’t have something, doesn’t mean you have to try and have that something obsessively.
I need to get to bed already.
